Woodland Hills Rotarian, Michael Turner, was appointed Senior Assistant Governor for Rotary District 5280 by District Governor DJ Sun. Michael will be responsible for managing marketing and public relations for the District, which stretches from Santa Clarita in the north to Redondo Beach to the south and east to Glendale and Downey
. He will oversee social media including the District's Facebook and Twitter sites, the monthly and weekly e-newsletters, and media relations. Michael's duties actually begin in January when he was tasked to assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations for PERT (President-elect Rotary Training) held in January, PETS (President-elect Training Seminar) held in February, and the District Assembly held last month. Michael will be working closing with DJ and his senior leadership team as well as club PR chairs and presidents to increase awareness of our Rotary District. "I am honored to have been selected for this position," said Michael. "I am looking forward to serving the district in the coming year." Michael will also continue his PR duties for our Club.
