Our Club is actively working within the community to assist non-profits, organizations and people especially at this time.
The Khalsa Care Foundation in Pacoima – They have had a weekly food pantry for many years, serving hot meals to 5,000 people through this drive-thru every Friday from 2pm onwards (until they run out of food). During this COVID-19 pandemic, they have been working hard all week to provide hot meals and food to families, elderly individuals, individuals with disabilities, homeless shelters and hospitals! In the past 3 weeks they have provided over 11,000 hot meals and, in addition through the Food Pantry, over 65,000 lbs. of food. The Khalsa Care Foundation has now partnered with Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez’s office to set up a Hot Meal Drive-Thru and Pickup Service.

Optimist/Pacific Lodge – Even though it says Optimist, it’s our own Pacific Lodge home where we now support the young women who need to have a safe place to live. Please help if you can…it’s vitally important during this critical time, and the need is great. Here are the ways you can help:
Non-Cash Donations - Needed items to help take precautions against COVID-19 should a youth in their care show symptoms or have possible exposure; staff must be prepared to continue care for that child in isolation. This quarantine also means the youth living at our residences must find ways to stay active and mentally stimulated. Please consider purchasing some of these much needed items at our Amazon Wish List link below: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2LKZRIARU6NO3?ref_=wl_share&bblinkid=215608583&bbemailid=20441533&bbejrid=1447091500

To arrange a safe, socially distant pick up of your donated device(s), or for more details and questions, please contact Pami Kaur at 818-919-4859 or pkaur@vfsfunding.com
