Club of Woodland Hills
Resources and
Ways to Help
Our Club is actively working within the community to assist non-profits, organizations and people especially at this time.

The Khalsa Care Foundation in Pacoima – They have had a weekly food pantry for many years, serving hot meals to 5,000 people through this drive-thru every Friday from 2pm onwards (until they run out of food). During this COVID-19 pandemic, they have been working hard all week to provide hot meals and food to families, elderly individuals, individuals with disabilities, homeless shelters and hospitals! In the past 3 weeks they have provided over 11,000 hot meals and, in addition through the Food Pantry, over 65,000 lbs. of food. The Khalsa Care Foundation has now partnered with Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez’s office to set up a Hot Meal Drive-Thru and Pickup Service.

ShelterBox – Right now, around 85 million people around the world have been displaced by natural disaster and conflict. By providing emergency shelter and tools for displaced families, ShelterBox is transforming despair into hope. Shelter is critical to reducing the spread of COVID-19. The vital aid items ShelterBox is providing will help keep people as healthy as possible. ShelterBox is striving for a world where no family is left without shelter.
Covid Assist–  A nation-wide organization that matches neighbors who can’t leave their homes with volunteers who can help with basic non-medical tasks, like running errands, to keep everyone safe and healthy.
San Fernando Rescue Missions – They’re doing grocery deliveries to vulnerable members of the community. There are young children with their families ordered to shelter-in-place at the shelters who could use supplies. If you are able, and wish to help, there is a wish list below that links Amazon. You can choose to purchase supplies and deliver them, all from the comfort of your home. You can also donate financially and needed pantry items to the San Fernando Rescue Mission by clicking the links below.

Optimist/Pacific Lodge – Even though it says Optimist, it’s our own Pacific Lodge home where we now support the young women who need to have a safe place to live. Please help if you can…it’s vitally important during this critical time, and the need is great. Here are the ways you can help:
Computers and Laptops Needed for LAUSD Children – The Rotary Club of Woodland Hills is actively working within the community to assist the non- profits, organizations and people especially during this time. There are many children who need to continue their education online, but cannot afford the necessary computers and laptops. If you have a computer or laptop to donate, we have professional tech members who can safely erase everything so the child who receives your generous donation has in essence a new device.
