Gary Alan Koch
June 1, 1952 – December 5, 2024
My sweet husband left this earth on Thursday, December 5th. He was a kind and loving husband and I will miss him so much. Gary Alan Koch of Agoura Hills passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, with his wife, Lois, by his side. Gary was born to Maurice and Judith Koch on June 1, 1952, in Los Angeles. He spent his childhood and young adult life in Marin County and relocated to Los Angeles in the late 1970’s.Always an entrepreneur, Gary had a number of occupations and businesses over the years. He was a pioneer in selling email from MCI Mail before most people even knew what email was. In addition to working in real estate in his early years, Gary started his own software company, Onsite Information Systems, to provide service to mutual fund companies. He provided services through Onsite until 2015. In addition, he began selling residential real estate in 2005 and worked for Balboa Real Estate until 2015 when he suffered a traumatic brain injury.
During his last 9 years, Gary continued to enjoy his life, driving around the neighborhood in his wheelchair, watching kids playing at Reyes Adobe Park, and enjoying outings with mr and his caregivers. Gary was an active member of the Rotary Club of Woodland Hills, and continued to attend meetings via Zoom until his last few weeks. Gary will be remembered by all who knew him as an adventurous, kind, generous, and fun-loving guy.
Gary is also survived by his stepson Ryan Peck; brother Randall; brother Clifford and wife Patty; nephew Kevin, niece Rachel, great nephews Archer and Weston; cousins Michele Sartain (Ken) and Robert Snidman (Liz) and many friends and neighbors.
