The Rotary club will be funding the following requests which were approved at our March board meeting:
  • The club contributed $2,500 to assist Rotarians with projects in Belize on the District Humanitarian Trip. Our District funded 11 projects totaling more than $250,000.  The projects range from building much needed bathrooms for seven schools, providing fencing for schools, reforestation, a solar plant in a remote community, eco-stoves to single mothers, and scholarships to deserving students. Several of our members participated in this very rewarding trip. We can’t wait to hear about their trip when they return!  Photo: Eva Hainer shares a moment with some of the girls she met in Belize.

  • The International Committee funded $1,000 for Days for Girls, a non-profit providing sanitary supplies to girls in Third World countries. This allows the girls to attend school all year. The committee also funded Debo for $1,500.  Debo operates in Ethiopia providing educational and economic development assistance ensuring they have the tools and support to succeed.
