Seven-hundred-pounds of chicken; 700 pound of potatoes; 75 quarts of vegetable oil; 126 pounds of corn; 175 pounds of pinto beans; 210 pounds of onions; 26 gallons of chicken broth; 350 pounds of rice; 5,000 tortillas; and 200 pounds of apples were the ingredients that the Rotary Club of Woodland Hills used to fill Thanksgiving gifts baskets for 70 families of students from Fullbright Elementary School in Winnetka.

“It’s a wonderful feeling to provide these families with food for their Thanksgiving dinner, says Diane Nelson, chair of the event. “This is the club’s fourth year we have been doing this project. We are grateful for the individuals and businesses who donate money and food for the gift baskets.”
