So many fun moments are ahead, including our club’s 70th Birthday Celebration. I can’t wait to see everyone dressed in their best ’70s gear, disco dancing the day away and celebrating together. Be sure to mark your calendar—February 25th at our Sagebrush lunch meeting—this is one you won’t want to miss!
We also have nine Rotarians heading to Costa Rica on the District's upcoming Humanitarian Trip. What an incredible opportunity to give back and support so many meaningful projects. I’m beyond proud of this group and excited for the impact you’ll make.
Our first night meeting is officially in the books—and what a success! The turnout was fantastic… so fantastic, in fact, that we somehow forgot to take a single photo! How does that even happen? Our speaker, Mike Stark, President of the Rotary Club of Redondo Beach, was absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to welcome him back. And yes—I proudly served as his “unknown assistant,” fully suited up in my Crime Scene Investigator – Couch Division uniform.
A huge thank you to Sandy, Karen, and Natasha for pulling everything together so beautifully. It was truly perfect. Looking ahead, the LAPD Luncheon is on the horizon. Let’s show up strong, celebrate together, and continue showing our support for those who serve our community.
And since love is in the air this month, let’s all take a moment to be a little kinder, a little more patient, and a little more loving—to our families, our friends, and one another. We all deserve to feel special, and it costs nothing to help someone else feel that way too.
May you all be blessed by the joy of service, the strength of our fellowship, and the impact we continue to make together.

Rotary International President-elect Olayinka H. Babalola called on members to Create Lasting Impact by making their clubs more welcoming, carrying out impactful projects, and allowing their Rotary experiences to transform them personally.
“Rotary has changed us. It has shaped who we are and made us better people,” Babalola said at Rotary’s International Assembly in Orlando, Florida, USA, on 12 January. “We often talk about changing the world. We talk about ending polio, about building peace. We do not think enough about how Rotary transforms us.”
Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develops the capacity of peace and development professionals to become effective catalysts for peace. The fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and internship and field-study expenses. Watch Video
