As spring blooms around us, I'm thrilled to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Sandy Rosenholz, Christy Pinto, Matt Schaaf, and their family members for their incredible efforts in sprucing up our shed at Warner Center Park. Your dedication to our Rotary Club's infrastructure is truly commendable. (Photo: Sandy Rosenholz)
Over the past few months, our club has been relentless in its pursuit of service. From supporting the Ronald McDonald House to crafting feminine hygiene products with Days for Girls and cooking at the Family Rescue Mission, our impact has been profound.
This spring, we're not slowing down. With upcoming projects at the Ronald McDonald House, cooking sessions at The Woodlands transitional living facility, and the highly anticipated Grateful Hearts event, there are abundant opportunities for us to make a difference.
Let's seize these opportunities for hands-on projects, enriching our community and beyond. Together, we can continue spreading Rotary's ethos of service and goodwill.
On March 21 the club presented T-shirts to Interact Club members of the Social Justice Humantas Academy. The club is sponsored by the San Fernando Valley Night Rotary Club. These young kids are doing Service Above Self all the time in their community. Congratulations to teacher and Rotarian Robert Martinez for his desire to improve the lives of our youth.
Members are proud to say they were very busy in February and March. They lived Service Above Self and invite you to join them for volunteer opportunities in your area and to join this great club which has been doing “Goodery” since 1956.

It was an honor to have singer-songwriter Jenni Alpert (aka Cami) at the club's March 13 meeting. She presented an exceptional program about "Art of Xpression ~ Music & Arts Wellness Programs & Services." Jenni grew up with a supportive adoptive family who encouraged her to pursue music. She reunited with her birth father, Don Logsdon, nearly 30 years after he gave her up for adoption. She then helped him through his homelessness and recovery from drug abuse. Jenni and Don bonded by their love for music. Jenni founded "Fine Arts Revolution" (a 501 c3 nonprofit) in his honor. She also entertained the guests with her beautiful voice...singing one of the many songs she had written. Click on the photo montage to view a video of Jenni performing.
